Ingredients

1.5 oz.
Old Tom Gin (or any gin)
0.75 oz.
ginger liqueur (such as Domaine De Canton)
0.5 oz.
fresh lemon juice
0.75 oz.
cranberry simple syrup (recipe follows)
1.0 oz.
club soda

Preparation

Muddle 4 cranberries and a sprig of rosemary in a glass. Add all ingredients and then strain into a new glass and top with garnish.

Cranberry simple syrup (prepare ahead for multiple drinks):

Add 16 oz. cranberries (frozen or fresh) to a sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until boiling. Crush cranberries to release the juice (you might have to add a few oz. of water). Strain cranberry juice through a fine-mesh strainer. Add cranberry juice and brown sugar to a sauce pan (1 part cranberry juice, 1.5 parts brown sugar). Stir frequently over medium heat until sugar has dissolved. Let the syrup cool before adding it to a container. Store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
